Nested Loops

Loops inside other loops are called nested loops.

 

Example:

public class Nested {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        for (int i=1; i<5; i++) {
            for (int j=1; j<5; j++) {
                System.out.println(i+" * "+j+" = "+i*j);
            }
            System.out.println();
        }
    }
}

 

Output:

1 * 1 = 1
1 * 2 = 2
1 * 3 = 3
1 * 4 = 4

2 * 1 = 2
2 * 2 = 4
2 * 3 = 6
2 * 4 = 8

3 * 1 = 3
3 * 2 = 6
3 * 3 = 9
3 * 4 = 12

4 * 1 = 4
4 * 2 = 8
4 * 3 = 12
4 * 4 = 16
